cooked a meal for 14 tonight
new year’s resolution: host people more often and cook. menu for the evening:
- starter: mexican chicken and rice soup
- salad: caprese salad with fresh mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, olive oil and vinegar
- entree: baked chicken stuffed with pesto, pine nuts, and mushrooms with cacciatore salami and and provolone cheese to seal it in, drizzled with lemon
- sides: steamed green beans and roasted pears with cinnamon
- dessert: champagne-soaked apples, baked and glazed in caramel with vanilla and cookie dough ice cream

good start to 2012.
